Dan Peterson, Converge MidAtlantic Executive Minister
Dan has served as Executive Minister for Converge MidAtlantic (Mideast Baptist Conference) since 1993. During Dan’s 18 years of regional leadership, the District has grown from a small network of 30 churches, to a dynamic and diverse movement of 80 churches in a 7 state region.
Dan is a graduate of Bethel College and earned his Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He also earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
Dan's ministry experience includes planting and pastoring Southwest Hills Baptist Church in Beaverton, OR, and also planting two new churches in Houston, TX over a nine year period of time.
He is the devoted husband of Sandi, and the father of Anne Marie. Sandi has four children: Troy, Tracy, Adam and Monica. Through the miracle of God's grace, Dan and Sandi celebrate a family of five children and six grandchildren. They live in Mansfield, OH, and serve our region and movement with joy and great energy.
Gary Schroeder, Associate Minister of Church Enrichment
Gary Schroeder is in his 9th year of ministry for Converge MidAtlantic. He brings a combined 28 years of pastoral experience in two Baptist General Conference churches. His wide-ranging personal and ministry experiences have been used by God to equip Gary for his role as a consultant, church mobilization specialist, pastoral care-giver and friend to pastoral families and churches in our district.
Gary's goal, as he ministers echoes Paul's statement in Col 2:2:
"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom is hidden all the treasures of hope and wisdom."
“Gary met his wife, Joan, while attending Wheaton College in Illinois from which they both graduated with bachelor degrees in sociology. Gary went on to earn an M.Div from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. The Schroeders have two grown children. Stacy and her husband, Clay, live in South Carolina with their two sons and one daughter. Matthew lives in Toledo, OH, with his wife Cynthia and their son and two daughters.

Dave Scull, Associate Minister of Camping and Student Ministries
Dave has been our Director at Camp Burton since 2006. His passion for youth ministry, love of the outdoors, and business experience suite him well as Associate Minister for Camping and Student Ministries for Converge MidAtlantic. Dave has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Texas.
Through his 19 years as a Golf Club General Manager and Head Golf Professional, Dave has extensive experience in managing finances, food operations, maintenance, guest relations, guest lodging, and site development. He has been actively involved in youth ministry for 15 years and just prior to accepting the role as Camp Burton’s Director Dave was the Youth Pastor at Christ Community Church in Chardon, Ohio. The vision for Camp Burton and our Student Ministries is the same. That is to share the good news Jesus Christ, help youth to grow as followers of Christ, and to develop the next generation of ministry leaders by challenging them to serve their church and community and honoring God with their lifestyle. Camp Burton’s summer program is a unique and powerful way of doing just that.
Dave has been married to his wife Jennifer for 24 years and they have 3 boys: Tyler, Mick, Ryan.
Damian Williams, Director of Advancement
Damian Williams began work as Director of Advancement for Converge MidAtlantic in October, 2010. Damian’s ministry will focus on developing and directing strategic ministries to business leaders and businesses in our MidAtlantic region. Damian’s role with Converge, is part of a strategic partnership between Converge MidAtlantic,and Leadership League, of which Damian is President.
Damian brings extensive experience in as a business owner, as the founder of Sports Vacations and Leadership League. He also brings very significant experience in ministry, having planted 3 churches, given leadership to parenting a new church as a lead pastor, and also as a Church Planting Coordinator for Converge MidAtlantic. Damian will be giving leadership to ministry to business leaders in our region, and to the advancement of needed resources for church planting expansion in our District.
Damian is married to Anne and they are the proud parents of Marcus and Jerica. They live in the Pittsburgh area and are avid Pittsburgh Steeler fans!
Anna Rolland, Executive Assistant – Email: Anna@convergemidatlantic.com – Anna oversees all office operations for Converge MidAtlantic, also all communication and marketing, and provides administrative support for our Love Lift Ukraine ministry, and administrative support for our Executive Minister
Liz Heavener, Bookkeeper – Email: Liz@convergemidatlantic.com – Liz oversees all financial systems, including the depositing and recording of all contribution income, and tracking and coordination of all fund balances and expenditures.
Linda Penney, Office Assistant – Email: Office@convergemidatlantic.com – Linda serves as receptionist, data base and information systems coordinator, and provides office support for our entire Converge office team
Tami Ward, Church Planting Assistant – Email: tward@nbccministries.org – Tami provides administrative support for Pastor Michael Henderson, our Church Planting Director. She provides administrative support for the church planting assessment process, for First Steps training events, and for other church planting events.
