Recently, Pastor Dave Pound, the senior pastor at Berean Baptist Church in Mansfield OH was honored as the Bethel Seminary Alumnus of the Year! Ralph Gustafson, Bethel University’s Vice President for Church Relations presided over the celebration and Dr. Jay Barnes, President of Bethel University, was present to confer the honor on Pastor Pound. Dave was totally surprised, not only by being so honored, but also by the sanctuary  full of members and friends who had come on Saturday night to share the moment and rejoice with Dave and his wife, Sharon. During the course of the evening remarks were shared by Steve Wilkinson, Converge Worldwide missionary, Dr Doug Fagerstrom representing Converge Worldwide, Gary Schroeder from Converge MidAtlantic and BJ Pound, Dave and Shar’s oldest son  who is finishing his last year at the Seminary. A reception followed the service at which time people could congratulate the Pounds.
